Personally I first encountered first the book in 1999 then later the Film over 20 years ago. I was a very young man, a teenager in fact and it was a very different world from (simpler even) than our contemporary one in 2022. I was introduced to this masterpiece whilst I was studying at college in the UK by a fellow student.
Fast forward 20 years and it seems this Book/Movie from 2000 was more than entertainment; it was a prediction of the state of many Western Modern Men.
